SO HAPPY YOU'RE HERE!

I'm thrilled for the introduction of Beauty, Love & Grub, a place where all things beautiful and delicious inspire joy. My name is Jennifer San Luis, and I'm so happy you stopped by for a visit. Take off your shoes and stay a while. My passions are simply stated in these three words. At the center of it all is love, that which we have for others and for ourselves. I strive to surround myself with beauty...from art, design, fashion, and travel, but most importantly, that which comes from within and is most appreciated when felt. Being in the kitchen is my saving grace, and I love making people feel warm and welcome by pleasing their taste buds.

Today I'll be posting a few times in an effort to provide you with a small sampling of what you'll find here. On the "Beauty" front, expect inspiration from some of the world's best interior designers and some of my favorite emerging artists. With art, the fun part for me has always been finding talent that won't make you drain your life's savings. It's sort of like buying wine...it's easy to find a terrific $100 bottle, but when you find that fantastic $15 prize, there's no greater satisfaction. I'm also quite a fashion junky and admittedly spend way too much time following other bloggers and their daily looks. Personally, I like a mix of trendy and classic, the former on which you should save and the latter on which it's okay to splurge. As a former sales executive in the Beauty Industry, I'm always looking for the latest product to give us that extra glow (especially at my age), but I also have a few favorites that are tried and true, no matter how many try to compete.

Love. It's by far the most important thing in life. To give. To receive. To share. It knows no boundaries and is everywhere...but sometimes you have to look harder than you'd like. I hope to share stories of love and kindness and others that strengthen our souls and make us better people. My series, "A Pipe(fitter's) Dream," will be a huge part of that. 

And last but not least, Grub! We all love to eat! It's perhaps one of life's greatest pleasures and ways to indulge. Look for more indulgence than healthy stuff here, but I'm working on the latter. Everything in moderation, right?
